Join the Boulder History Museum for a day filled with movie making magic on BVSD's School Day Off!

Participants will not only create a short film as a part of a film making team they will also design a movie poster to go along with the film. Students will also have an opportunity to explore the exhibition Hollywood, Colorado a historic overview of the 400 plus movies filmed right here in Colorado. The day will culminate with a showing of the student’s 5-8 min. film project. Bring a sack lunch.

Course fee: $79

Bio of instructor: Emilie Elmore Kintner has been working in the field of Museum and Performing Arts Education for 7 years. Emilie has created and managed inspiring and hands-on programs for over 80,000 students to date. Her past capacities include Associate Director of Education, California Center for the Arts and Manager of Education & Community Programs, Opera Colorado.

Special notes for parents:
At 3:15pm parents & guardians are invited to a final showing of the students’ film.
